'Hirondelle,' a luxury product of Orient-Express Hotels, Trains & Cruises, expands her horizons in 2009 with April, May and August cruises in the château-filled Loire Valley. She returns to the charming countryside of Burgundy & Franche-Comté - her previous home - for the remainder of the season.

Life aboard this charming vessel combines the food, drink and accommodations of a small country inn with the mobility and excitement of life on a well-appointed private yacht.

Sightseeing by bicycle or in the air-conditioned minibus that accompanies the barge provides intimate views of the vineyards, abbeys, wine cellars and châteaux of France.

'Hirondelle' contains four bright, airy guest staterooms and a spacious skylit living/dining area with comfortable seating for conversation, cocktails and dinner. Lush plantings extend to the top desk, where tables, deck charis and sheltering umbrellas create delightful areas for relaxing, sunbathing and sightseeing.
