Days 1 – 2: USA or Canada / Melbourne, Australia
Depart on an overnight flight to Australia, “losing” a day en route to the International Dateline.

Day 3: Melbourne, Australia
Our flight arrives in to Melbourne. There’s time to settle in before an orientation tour of the city, which includes a visit to the Melbourne Museum.

Day 4: Melbourne
A day entirely at leisure to explore Melbourne as you please.

Day 5: Melbourne / Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Fly from Melbourne to Ayers Rock in Australia’s Outback, with an afternoon drive to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas).

Day 6: Uluru / Cairns / Daintree Rainforest
An early start this morning as you drive out to watch the sunrise wash over Ayers Rock. Then it’s on to Cairns by air, followed by a drive along the scenic coastal highway to Mossman Gorge, deep in the Daintree Rainforest.

Day 7: Daintree Rainforest
Your day is at leisure to enjoy the many activities offered at the lodge, including mountain biking, canoeing, snorkeling in the Mossman River and guided rainforest walks.

Day 8: Daintree Rainforest / Lizard Island
Drive back to Cairns or take an optional helicopter transfer over the rainforest. Then fly to Lizard Island, Australia’s most exclusive Great Barrier Reef resort.

Days 9 – 10: Lizard Island
Two full days on Lizard Island to relax and choose from the many optional activities available. Alternatively, pamper yourself with a full range of spa treatments or just relax under a palm tree.

Day 11: Lizard Island / Sydney
Return to Cairns by private charter flight to connect with a flight to Sydney, where your guide transfers you to your hotel.

Day 12: Sydney
Your expert guide takes you on a walking tour of the historic Rocks area, through the lively quayside, and on to the stunning Opera House for a privately-guided tour. Then meet the guide and driver who are at your disposal for the rest of the day’s city sightseeing.

Day 13: Sydney
A day to personalize as you please. Go sailing or sea kayaking; climb the Harbour Bridge or take a Harbour cruise; or visit the shops and galleries of this cosmopolitan city.

Transfer to the airport to board your homebound flight.
