Comfortable and stylish, 'Marjorie II' offers a high level of personal service made possible by her small size. She journeys between Bruges and Haarlem during the glorious spring garden and tulip season on an itinerary that combines scenic beauty with cultural heritage.
Meet in Amsterdam at Hotel de l'Europe and transfer to 'Marjorie II,' moored in Haarlem. After welcome apéritifs, there is time to relax on board or stroll through the historic center of the 900-year-old town before your first dinner on board.
Visit Aalsmeer and its fascinating flower market where 17 million cut flowers are auctioned each day. Then, cruise to the lovely university town of Leiden to visit the American Pilgrim Museum. This beautifully preserved house tells of the pilgrims' formative years in Holland prior to setting off for America's New England.
Today's stroll through the magnificently landscaped Keukenhof Gardens, with their 79 acres of colorful flowering plants and the largest sculpture garden in the Netherlands, is a Holland highlight. After lunch, cruise to Delft with its beautiful canals and arched bridges.
Explore Delft today, the epitome of a quaint Dutch town with charming shops and picturesque canals. Learn how its world-famous pottery is produced on a tour of the local factory. Back on board the barge, cruise through the bustling port of Rotterdam en route to Antwerp.
In Antwerp, there is time to visit the home of Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens and the recently restored Cathedral of Our Lady, which houses several of his altarpieces. Then, cruise along the River Schelde to Ghent, a city of great wealth in medieval times that is now a university town with casual cafes and a vibrant ambience to enjoy.
Today, visit Ghent's imposing Castle of the Counts, a feudal fortress dating from the 12th century. Later in the day, cruise to medieval Bruges, a town once known as die Scone (the beautiful). This 13th-century gem is home to Europe's best preserved medieval buildings, including many Gothic churches - so much so that its historic center is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A final farewell dinner on board 'Marjorie II' brings this memorable cruise to an end.
After breakfast, transfer to Hotel Die Swaene in Bruges, where your tour ends.

The elegant 'Marjorie II' cruises through the fragrant French countryside on a journey between Moret-sur-Loing and Vermenton, on the River Yonne and Canal du Nivernais. At night, enjoy her discriminating décor and gourmet cuisine, while by day you can sunbathe on deck, ramble through an ancient abbey, or taste local wines at a centuries-old vineyard.
Meet at Hotel Le Parc-Trocadero in Paris for transfer to 'Marjorie II,' moored in the picturesque village of Moret-sur-Loing. After a champagne welcome, there is time for an evening stroll before dinner on board.
Visit the magnificent Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. This 17th-century masterpiece was built by Nicolas Fouquet, Louis XIV's minister of finance. Set on more than 100 acres, the château boasts extensive landscaped gardens. Later, cruise to Sens.
Spend the morning exploring Sens, dominated by Cathédrale St-Etienne, one of the first Gothic churches in France and known for its stained glass windows. Then, take an afternoon cruise to the picturesque town of Joigny with its cobbled streets and flower-filled courtyards.
Tour the Chablis wine region today, where 10,000 acres of noteworthy vineyards surround the pretty town along the River Serein. Later in the day, cruise to Auxerre, capital of Lower Burgundy, before enjoying another wonderul dinner on board the barge.
Situated on a hillside along the River Yonne, Auxerre was once an important staging post on the Via Agrippa, one of the busiest of the Roman highways. The morning's visit includes the historic town center with its 15th-century clock tower. 'Marjorie II' then cruises to Vincelles on the Canal du Nivernais, originally built to transport firewood to Paris.
Today's excursion is to the village of Vézelay, virtually unchanged since 1190 when Richard the Lionheart set off for the Third Crusade. The Basilica Ste-Madeleine is said to house relics of Mary Magdalen and has been a popular pilgrimage destination for nearly a thousand years. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Basilica has a dramatic hilltop setting that affords beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. There is time to browse in town before returning to your barge for a cruise to Vermenton and this evening's farewell dinner.
After breakfast, transfer to Hotel Le Parc - Trocadero in Paris, where your tour ends.
