DAYS 1-2:
Fly overnight to Tripoli and transfer to your hotel.

Day 3:
Explore the Roman city of Leptis Magna, the museum, amphitheater and Byzantine Villa Silene. Fly to Benghazi.

Days 4-5:
Drive to Al-Beida and visit the ancient towns of Tokara, Ptolemais and Qasr Libya with its beautiful mosaics. Explore the archaeological site of Cyrene, once a vibrant Greek city, and the ancient port of Apollonia.

Days 6-8:
Return to Tripoli and explore the Jamahiriya Museum, the Red Castle and Victory Arch. Stop at Sabratha for its intricate Byzantine mosaics. Visit the museum and the Islamic arts and crafts school, then fly to Cairo.

Days 9-10:
Visit the Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx, and Alexandria, the "Pearl of the Mediterranean."

Day 11:
En route to Siwa Oasis, stop at El Alamein, site of one of WWII's most decisive battles.

Days 12-13:
Visit Cleopatra's bath and the tombs of Gebel El Mawta. The next day, embark on a scenic desert drive by four-wheel-drive vehicle.

Days 14-15:
Return to Cairo for a leisurely last day, then board your homebound flight.

DAY 1-2:
Arrive in Cairo and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 3:
Lunch at Le Pacha boat and visit the Egyptian Museum.

DAY 4:
Travel to Memphis. Continue to the necropolis of Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. Travel to the Giza Plateau, site of the Great Pyramid of Cheops.

DAY 5:
Fly to Luxor and visit the Karnak and Luxor temples.

DAY 6:
Visit the West Bank of Luxor in the morning, including the Temple of Medinet Habu, the Valley of Kings and the Tombs of the Nobles. Drive to Esna to board the dahabieh (traditional sailing ship) 'Lazuli I' or 'Lazuli II.'

DAY 7:
Cruise to El-Kab, the temple where, in legend, Hathor and Horus met. Cruise to Edfu to visit its temple, then enjoy a barbecue on a beach on Fawaza Island.

DAY 8:
Sail to Djebel Silsileh to visit the temple of Horemheb and the ancient quarry where the temple stones were extracted.

DAY 9:
Cruise to Farés to visit the temple of Ras-Ras.

DAY 10:
Cruise to Kom Ombo where you visit the local market and the temple, then cruise to Aswan.

DAY 11:
Visit the Temple of Philae, then fly back to Cairo for a tour of Islamic Cairo and a walking tour at El Mu'z Street.

Day 12:
Continue on your journey.
