Follow our Bear as he Travels the Globe

Our little teddy bear, Rex Lancaster, set off to break the Guinness World Record and become the Most Traveled Teddy Bear. The journey officially began on November 8, 2005 with a trip to Eastern Europe. That has been followed by trips to Europe, Tahiti, Australia, Bangkok, Antarctica and other great destinations. He visited 30 countries and all 7 continents while on his quest.
Rex traveled with employees, friends and loyal clients of Rex Travel. He need to travel more then 205,000 miles in one calendar year to break the record. Little Rex smashed the record and when his year of travel ended on November 5, 2006 - he had racked up over 277,000 miles!
Little Rex met some wonderful people along the way and he's looking forward to his upcoming travels. While he sits in semi retirement, he's trying to decide what his next journey will be. If you have any ideas for his future travels, please drop him a note

Columbus Bear of Co-Op Travel, Stockport, UK, travelled an estimated 330,000 km (205,000 miles) from April 10, 2000, to April 10, 2001, passing through 16 countries and many more cities on the way.
Columbus bear scooped the record from Tornado Ted as the bear to cover the greatest distance. During his year of adventures, Columbus traveled to Australia five times, sunned himself in Mauritius, and drove through 18 states of the USA. The highlight of the bear's lengthy travels was a luxury ride on the Orient Express across the River Kwai, before hopping aboard a cruise liner to sail around the Far East. Although they were no holiday romances for the adventurous Ted, he did make friends with some bears in the Canadian wilds.
