You can travel with Rex Lancaster on your next trip and be a part of the record. Give us a call when booking your next trip and we'll find a way for you to squeeze into this busy bear's record breaking schedule. Traveling with the bear is a great way to meet the locals. He brings a smile where ever he goes!

Of course when you travel with Rex Lancaster, there are a few requirements that you will need to follow:

Guinness World Record requirements:
If you want to join the fun and be a part of the record, there are a few requirements for traveling with the bear.

  • A detailed logbook must be kept throughout the journey, confirming the route followed, the means of transport, and the distance covered. (Don't worry... rather then carry a bit fat book, we will make it easy for you. We'll just send a few pages that you can fold up and carry with the bear. When you get back, we'll file them in the 'official log book'.)
  • Each entry in the logbook should be countersigned by an impartial observer.
    For example, on flights, a member of the air crew should sign the logbook, and also provide details of the flight distance.
    Your boarding passes etc. should be attached to the appropriate pages in the logbook.
    For land journeys, border crossing stamps, or signatures obtained in police stations or other appropriate official institutions should be provided. Receipts for petrol etc. may be provided as additional proof.
  • You will need to take photographs of the bear in recognisable locations. For example, take a picture of you and the bear in front of the Taj Mahal, or your Resort entry sign, or the 'welcome' sign in front of the city. Use your imagination and have fun with it!
  • Please keep a very brief journal of any fun events or highlights of your trip. We will post them on Rex Lancaster's web site so people can stay informed on his (and your) travels. You can e-mail us a few updates while traveling, or just give them to us when you return.
  • The bear will be delivered to you by Federal Express or in person prior to your trip. When you return from your trip, you will need to get the bear back to Rex Travel ASAP. We'll assist in coordinating the bear's travel.
  • In addition to the bear, we'll provide you with a suitable wardrobe for the bear that you can take with you. When one travels well - one must have the appropriate attire after all. (Don't worry, at 6 inches tall, his clothes won't take up much room in your suit case!). For example, if you are on a luxury cruise to the Caribbean, he has a tux as well as casual wear and swim trunks. For a safari, he can wear khakis as not to scare off the animals.
  • You'll need to carry the bear with you in your carry on luggage (as you will need to have access to him to prove to the crew you have him on the flight.
  • If you cross paths with any celebrities or world leaders or other famous folks while traveling, please try to get a photo of them with Rex Lancaster. (Not a requirement... but thought it may be kind of fun!)
