Our Concorde soars across the Pacific Ocean at 1,340 miles per hour bringing us to New Zealand, one of the most spectacular landscapes on Earth. Here we come upon the awe-inspiring jagged peaks of The Remarkables mountain range ringing Lake Wakatipu, and stunning Milford Sound, a fjord surrounded by dramatic waterfalls.

New Zealand's lush region of the South Island affords endless outdoor excursions, from jet-boaring on the Shotover River to peaceful cruising on Lake Wakatipu, enjoying the colors of the surrounding mountains.

After crossing the Pacific at twice the speed of sound, our Concorde arrives in Christchurch, New Zealand. Many of the highlights of this beautiful country are further south, so we transfer to a smaller chartered aircraft for a short flight to Queenstown, nestled on the shore of 48-mile-long Lake Wakatipu and surrounded by the saw-toothed peaks of The Remarkables mountain range.

The Parkroyal Hotel is the ideal base from which to explore the area. This evening is at leisure for you to get acquainted with the town.

One of the South Island's most coveted sights is Milford Sound, a towering fjord with sparkling blue water and dramatic waterfalls. We begin the day with a flight over snowcapped peaks and glacial lakes, followed by a cruise to explore this spectacular sound.

This evening, enjoy cocktails on an exclusive cruise across Lake Wakatipu aboard the historic, steam-powered T.S.S. Earnslaw. On the opposite side of the lake is Walter Peak Sheep Station, where we will savor a New Zealand-style dinner featuring superb wines as the twinkling lights of Queenstown shimmer across the lake.

The beauty of New Zealand is wonderful to admire, but the adventurous will want to board a jet boat on the Shotover River for a thrilling upstream ride through a canyon of soaring rock walls. Our excursion includes lunch at the Skyline Chalet. Return to Queenstown for time on your own tonight
