CHILDREN'S PALACE (Shanghai is the most ideal location) "Children's Palaces" were developed in China in order to provide the children with a opportunity to learn extracurricular subjects. Children's Palaces are specifically for children from 4 - 14 years of age and a wide variety of subjects are taught such as musical instruments, ballet, computers, painting, calligraphy, etc. Visit the school grounds and see classes in progress. PEKING OPERA TRAINING SCHOOL (in Beijing only) Special training schools exist to train budding performers in the art of Peking Opera. Skills needed to master Peking Opera include singing, dancing, martial arts performances, face painting (make up), etc. Visit the children in the training school and see some demonstrations. Ms. Pia Pierre is a noted collector of Oriental object d'art. Her outstanding personal collection will be introduced to you during your visit. Panama HELICOPTER TOUR TO THE EMBERA INDIAN VILLAGE OF TUSIPONO Fly by helicopter to a remote Indian village on the upper Chagres River to experience a native culture virtually unchanged for centuries. After a series of meetings and discussions with the chief and village elders, our local experts have gotten permission to take limited numbers of guests to this small village and immerse them in the daily life of the tribe. Guests will be treated to several ceremonial dances and traditional music and the village shaman will explain the medicinal use of the rainforest plants still in use today. The Embera are skilled craftsman and you will have the opportunity to purchase these crafts while at the village. The flight to the village provides a "bird's eye" view of the Panama Canal and the incredible rainforest of the Soberania and Chagres National Parks.
