As you are welcomed, you can enjoy for yourself the outrageous luxury of the 1920's. For almost sixty glorious years from 1883, princes, film stars and spies crossed Europe in the sumptuous luxury provided by the Orient-Express, making this the most exciting and glamorous train ever.

Travelling in private compartments, passengers are attended by Cabin Stewards throughout the journey, and are assured of attentive yet discreet service. Each compartment has its own original washbasin cabinet, and at night-time becomes a comfortable bedroom, complete with crisp damask cotton sheets precisely turned down.

Meals on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express are an unforgettable delight. All dishes are freshly prepared on board by French chefs, with the finest supplies taken on board during the train's journey. Table d'hôte meals are included in the fare, while an à la carte selection is also available.

Service by the Italian waiters is in one of the three individually styled Restaurant Cars: Lalique, Etoile du Nord or Chinoise. Afternoon tea and breakfast are served in passengers' compartments by the Stewards.
