After the convention has ended, spoil yourself with total relaxation. Depart from Brisbane on a 2 night excursion to the Great Barrier Reef, the largest marine park in the world. While away the hours in this little part of paradise. This excursion is exclusive to Rotarians.

Thursday, June 5 - Brisbane
Check-in at Roma Street Station in Brisbane for a morning departure. After settling in to your beautifully appointed compartment, lunch will be served in the Dining Car. Enjoy the afternoon on board and the passing scenery of rural Queensland. Afternoon tea is served by your steward in your compartment. Dinner and overnight on board.

Friday, June 6 - Great Barrier Reef
Breakfast is served in your compartment, by your steward. Arrive in Proserpine and disembark for an excursion to the Great Barrier Reef, a World Heritage site, by helicopter or seaplane. Here you can snorkel, scuba-dive, swim or watch the marine life from the underwater viewing chamber or semi-submersible.

Sun decks, changing rooms, toilets and all the necessary equipment are available. Beach towels and sunscreen are provided. Marine biologists and diving experts are on hand to assist. Lunch with beer and soft drinks is included.

Reboard the train late afternoon for dinner and perhaps a nightcap in the Observation Car to mark the end of this exciting day.

Saturday, June 7 - Brisbane
Enjoy breakfast in your compartment. Visit the boutique for a special souvenir of your journey. Lunch is served as the train heads south. Arrive in Brisbane in the mid-afternoon, where your journey will end.

Prices are per person based on shared accommodation and include all table d'hôte meals on board and excursions and other meals as shown in the itinerary. Single supplements are available on request. All prices stated are in U.S. Dollars.
