Lindblad Expeditions' ships are all small, well-kept and superbly furnished. They carry anywhere from 30 to 120 passengers, ensuring that your experience on board will be unique and personal. Cabins are spacious and comfortable, service friendly and efficient, and the cuisine exquisitely prepared. The ships' small sizes mean that they are able to take you where larger ships can't.

Aboard the M.S. Hapi: The Hapi, launched in 1989, and refurbished in 2000, was designed and furnished as a private yacht. Because she carries only 30 guests (and a crew of 52), guests are assured attentive personal service. No other Nile cruise ship compares with the Hapi for intimate ambiance, comfort, service and quality food.
Public Areas: The large and comfortably furnished public areas add greatly to the experience of living aboard the Hapi. The living room, which is decorated with Persian rugs and photographs of Egypt, serves as a venue for lectures and musical events. The library and game room is frequently used for showing videos about Egypt. On the Sun Deck, there are deck chairs and a small swimming pool. The Hapi is fully air-conditioned.
Cabins: The 12 staterooms and 3 junior suites are spacious, attractive and comfortable. All have lower beds, private shower and toilet, hair dryer, minibar and internal telephone. Staterooms measure 238 square feet, while junior suites are 280 square feet in size. Please note that Egyptian law requires that cabin windows on the Main Deck are sealed, while windows on the Upper Deck may be opened.

The Sea Bird and Sea Lion, which were built in the U.S. in 1981 and 1982 respectively, are one-class sister ships that accommodate 70 passengers each. At 152 feet in length, they're large enough to operate comfortably in remote environments, yet they're also small enough to reach places where bigger ships couldn't possibly go.
The fleet of motorized Zodiac landing craft that we carry on board is key to our style of expedition travel. The Zodiacs extend our reach to almost anywhere, allowing us to disembark and explore on a moment's notice. We're not confined to ports of call -- if we choose, we can go ashore on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere. And the Zodiacs can take us for close-up views of whales in Baja California, icebergs in Alaska and waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest.
Our ships are designed to offer you complete comfort. Each cabin faces outside, with either large windows or portlights, and has attractive decor. There are lower beds, private toilet and shower facilities and individual climate controls.
Public Areas: Lounge with bar and facilities for films, slide shows and lectures; Library; Sun Deck with chairs; Outside Deck area for viewing. Our “open Bridge” policy allows you to meet officers and crew.
Meals: Served in the Dining Room in one unhurried seating with fine views through panoramic windows. Breakfast is a wide selection buffet and lunch is often served family style. American chefs prepare wholesome and varied menus.
Cabins: All face outside with windows or portlights (Lower Deck only). Each has private facilities, climate controls, and ample space to hang and store clothing.
Shared Accommodations: If you wish to share accommodations, we will be glad to make arrangements at the double occupancy rate in Category 2 only.
